View Full Version : Strangely uncontrollabe excessive blinking

Recently (about a week ago) I started blinking out of control (2 times a second). I'm 16, so it's probably not a tick. Anyway, my eyes get blurry from blinking so much. They also get a little wattery, but it's not the normal tears. This fluid dries and is crusty around my eyes. I also find myself making very muffled quiet sort of grunting noises when i blink. Sort of a small push of air through my throat. Someone please help, I'm really concerned that this might be a developing OCD.

A little bit of information though: This happened to me a few years ago, but it was no where as nearly severe as it is this time. I'm finding it hard to sleep because of it. It's 4 AM as I type this.

EDIT: Forgot to say that my eyes are incredibly sore from rubbing them so much because of them getting blurry.
And if this helps: I wear contact lenses. I went a few days without them but it made no difference.
