View Full Version : wierd darkened "streaks" bouncing across my peripheral vision

for about 4 or 5 years i've noticed this rather disturbing phenomenom in my peripheral vision, where these blotches of dark seem to follow my eyesite around, randomly streaking across then going away. these are fairly consistant, i see them all the time. when im in a bright room i can conjure up these distortions at will, by focusing on a dark object in the bright room, such as a cell phone or stapler, then quickly looking away, i will notice the darkness from the object will streak across and remain floating around in my peripheral vision, changing exit vector depending on what direction my eyes are moving.

are these what people call floaters? is there any way to get rid of them??
