Hey, I've had a toe problem for a while now and I did go to the doctors ages ago and they said it was fungi however the stuff they presribed never worked and neither has anything else I've tried. Thing is it's getting really bad and I've not seen one like it before. It's thick, black/yellow, but growing in parts..like 6 parts and has also been growing at an angle for a while so its like bending. It can't go on for much longer because it might start causing problems? Can doctors remove toe nails and another one grow back? It's really getting on my nerves and I can never show my feet, not even to my bf. Anyone got any suggestions? Or actually know it is fungi? I've not seen the whole growing in parts thing if that makes sense. I can't cut it and filing it doesnt seem to make much difference. It's so emmbarrasing, I'm gonna be emmbarrased going back to docs. Just want to get rid of the damn thing and its growing in the wrong direction.

I've never had a toenail to grow exactly as you described but the thick, black/yellow description sounds like toenail fungus because it sounds like mine. I have been trying a solution that I found on this forum or somewhere on the web. It is to put Vick Vapor Rub on the nail twice a day and cover it with a bandaid. I decided to try it and it WORKS! I've been doing this since July 4th and it doesn't like much being normal again. It takes time for the nail to grow normal again but it's worth it to me. Who knows, it might work for you too! You've got nothing to lose but a few cents from Wal Mart, etc. Good luck!
