After eating certain foods, ie breadsticks, I get this bitter-like feeling in the back of my throat. It almost feels like there is something blocking airway.
It's been a couple years that I've been choking on my food - I did an esophogram and it came out normal. I don't get any acid reflex (from what I can tell), no burping or upset stomach feeling. What could this be?

You may not always know that you have acid reflux. I don't have heartburn or indigestion but my dr. says I have LPR . Patients often aren't aware that there is acid coming up into the throat. I have trouble swallowing at times and have the feeling that something is stuck in my throat. I often have a bitter or sour taste in my mouth, also. Sometimes it happens simply from drinking water!

there is a toothpaste and gargle called therarx, i just started using it a week ago. It removes that thick white/yellow gunk on back of tongue--it is sold everywhere walmart, cvs...etc.. maybe the metal/yucky test is sulfur build up?? It is worth a try. I have only been using it a few days so I can not vouch for it as yet.
