I Had posted awhile back about having flashes and was dx w/ ocular migraine by a retinal specialist. After two months of flashes I followed up with on opthamologist. He performed a laser iridotomy on the eye that had the flashes. My Iris was pushed forward and not allowing fluid to flow. I have the other eye done in two weeks. He didn't dilate my eye that day b/c he was afraid that pressure would build up. 24 hours later he did dilate my left eye and found retinal problems which he believes that is causing the flashes.

He noted that the edge of my retina was frayed and also blistered. He had commented that he had never seen these two together. he asked numerous questions about my health. I go back 9/6 to have the other eye lasered. We will discuss the retinal issues then, after he consults w/ a specialist. We have not dilated the right eye yet due to the iris problems so I am unsure if both eyes are involved. The flashes are in my left eye only.

Anyone had/have similar retinal problems? If so what was the dx. I was a little concerned when he started questioning my health. Thanks for any input!!
