Hi everyone,
I'm new here and decided to join as this looked like a great place to ask questions about health issues ;)
Anyways, I have a 27 year old daughter who has itchy swollen eyelids, she's been to the doctors 3 times with three different stories and meds. Anyways it comes and goes so I figure it's an allergy.
So my question is...

Is it possible in a peanut allergy to just have one symptom?

She only gets itchy swollen eyelids and nothing else. I ask this because she was fine until she ate a 2 cup container of cashews from friday evening to sunday afternoon. The swollen eyes started on saturday and are still swollen and itchy this morning.
Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance...
Louise:)

Certainly it's possible to have just one symptom for any allergy! I have just one with penicillin - anaphalactic shock. Some people have only hives from it.
Did she take an antihistamine for the reaction?

She never took any antihistamine, they all prescribed different eye drops,
one prescribed an antibiotic, one prescribed comfort drops
and the last doctor prescribed allergy drops. The allergy drops worked the best so I'm assuming it's an allergy but to what. Anyways I just called her at work (she works at a drugstore :D) so I told her to ask her boss to give her an antihistamine that won't knock her out.... we'll see how that goes.

'm allergic to cashews as well. If I eat a small amount, no problem. If I ate 2 cups like your daughter did, I would break out with small clear bumps on my hands, feet, and mouth.
My eyes swell horribly if I stir up dust or pollen.
