View Full Version : Had toenail removed-is there such thing as toenail implants?

I had severe ingrown toenails on big toe on both feet and had my left foot toenail sides removed permanatley and my right foot toenail completley removed permanatley. I know it sounds stupid but it bothers me because I know there is artificial toenails now that you can glue on but they don't last long and it's just such a hassle. Does anyone know or has anyone heard of somewhere or someone ( a doctor) who does toenail implants where they attach an artificial nail permanatley? It might sound odd I kow but I heard of an idea like that didn't know if it actually existed. They make artificial limbs so I figured why not toenails and fingernails?

There is a podiatrist in Lubbock, TX who has been working on a toenail implant. I don't know if he has gotten it to the production stage yet. His name is Dr. Robert Brodkin. I haven't contacted him in several months so I don't know any current information.

Yea I think I've heard of him from searching online. It helps to know someone is at least working on the idea. Thanks.
