I have suffered from moderate depression for many years now. I am now beginning to wonder if this is down to a wheat intolerance. I usually follow a pretty healthy diet, however this past week (because I was on holiday) I ate more bread, biscuits etc, my mood is worse. I intend to cut out (or down drastically) for a few days to see if there is a difference.
Has anyone else noticed this or are the symptoms more likely to be physical ?
I also noticed that if I eat for example, pasta and garlic bread or pitta bread together, my heart speeds up and I feel slightly unwell for a brief period. I also find it hard to lose weight, I am not overweight my BMI is okay but I seem stuck just over where I'd like to be.
