Hi, I'm new here. I'm 43, I missed 3 periods last year and assumed I was peri-menopausal, however I stopped taking the anti-depressant medication I was using and my periods returned as normal. I have recently started to take the same medication again and missed one period though the next one came on time. I just don't know whether I'm ovulating less and my periods are erratic due to peri-menopause or whether it IS the medication ! my doctor seems to think the meds can't cause this.
I don't have hot flushes, I do have terrible mood swings, I am not overweight but can't lose weight, my tummy swells, I feel like I have permanent PMS. Any advice/comments ?
