Is the bleeding visible? i too have bleeding and since it is somewhere in my small bowel, the 2 colonoscopy's i had were inconclusive.
As far as the procedure goes, you probably won't remember much due to the anethesia you are given so don't worry about it. Actually once you get over the prep for it, down hill from there.
yeah i think that the prep is going to be the worst because i just started it and it make me want to puke

Hi i am sorry to hear about your problem at such a young age.Dont worry about having the colonostopy because i had one 15 years ago, and now i have to have another one.Years ago i had to drink 2 litres of water, and another 2 litres the day of the procedure.I was pooing only clear water by this time. Some one told me the preparation was better these days than the 15 years ago when i had my first one, apparently you dont have to drink all that water.I hpe the procedure goes as well as the first one,i only experienced a little pain when i woke up before they took it out, which was only for a second or so.My grandaughter who was 17 at the time had a lot of bleeding from her bowels, the surgeon found a large polyp just inside her rectum. It was benign, that means it was not malignant,in other words cancer.
The surgeon told me in someone young, these polyops are rarely bad.I hope all goes well for you.Best wishes from bess01.
