Hi everyone. I'm very new to this board, but not to Fibro! I just sort of jumped in, but thought I'd introduce myself, too. :jester:
I've had Dx'd FM for around 11 years now. I also have "Lupus symptoms" (my Rheumie laughs and tells me not to worry about getting that 'Dx label')that come and go and vary in intensity. I work in Public Health and am fortunate to have supportive and understanding co-workers and supervisors. But over the years I have seen a dramatic difference in the things I used to do and the things I can do now. I've gone from being a bouncy, outdoors person who loves sports, rollercoasters, yard work and the sun - to a much more sedentary, indoorsy, sometimes knitter and online surfer, when my hands let me. (Luckily I've always loved to read. But even that isn't something I can do all the time.) I've gathered more health problems along the way. Partly due to the FM and the inablity to be as active and partly due to a very nasty car wreck. Sometimes it just seems like the list will never end and is overwhelming. So it is great to find a place where I can find others with similar experiences and great advice! :bouncing:
I hope maybe I can share somethings that work for me.
