View Full Version : Eye after radiation treatments

I was diagnosed with ocular lymphoma and underwent a total of 35 radiation treaments on my right eye. It has been 4 years since the radiation and my eye is so dry. Artificial tears offer little help. Restasis didn't help at all and irritated the eye even more. In recent months, the skin on my eye lid and around the eye has become so dry and cracked and itches so badly that I scratched my cornea rubbing the eye. Horrible pain! I am seeing an allergist next week to determine if this might be due to allergies, in particular to my dog. I have become so weary and depressed. It is all I can do to get through the day at work. My opthamologist says there is nothing else I can do. I take omega 3 and flaxseed supplements. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who may be suffering from the same ailments. I get to thinking that my eye will never be any better and that I am the only one who is suffering with this.
