Hi all,

The doctor has successfully stopped the pain cycle. Within that peroid of time. I have developed heel pain. I an curious if any one has the same problem. I go back to him in sept. I am looking for answers. I'm wondering if this is part of fibro or just plantar f? I know one is curable and the other isn't.

Thanks,

Diane (kutztown07)

Iam a hair dresser and i think if you work or stand a lot it makes even more pain. The pain from your heal makes you so weak i can stand it .Also get a whirl pool portable and soak that helps . Howdy All,
I've had the heel pain for many years, Ultrasound on both feet confirmed Plantar Fasciitis. I also have severe pain throughout top bottom both feet as they feel of broken bones. xrays showed no broken bones. My foot doctor says other than the heel pain, my foot pain may be caused from a blood disorder and fibro may play a part in this other shooting foot pain. Foot doctor prescribed and made custom molded orthosis to wear in my shoes which gives me no relief. Big waste of $$. They were very expensive and i have found to wear a ez comfort (very soft) and very low in cost slipper . I also soak feet in warm Epsom salt water, slight relief is better than none.
Anyone else with this heel pain & all please help us out here with ideas. Fibro can cause the strangest pains to our bodies. ouch!!!

I too have plantar and have done it all. The shots the shoes the insoles and I found Crocks are the most comfortable thing for me to wear. Have dealt with it for about 1 1/2 years. Don't know what I would do without my Crocks.
The $$$ insoles just made it worse.

i also have the plantar and a very lg bone spur on my left foot only. i went to pt for awhile, use lanacaine patches as needed, and only wear new balance 992 sneakers with the inserts, and birkenstock shoes/sandles. all of this is fairly expensive, but my foot has been doing better now for about 9 mos.

Diane,
What are you being prescribed or doing to stop the pain cycle? In addition to all the other aches and pains, I have bad heel, feet and ankle pain also. Today it is hard to walk without pain. I take three meds daily. 2 too sleep and one for pain. The pain pill is not working. On my way back into the Dr.
Soaking my feet feels good but doesn't really stop the pain. Just courious as to what was helping you
Thanks
Jo

HI again,

I am taking Effexor XR an antidepressent which has stopped my pain cycle I take a 75 mg dosage daily, and an additional dose of 37.5 mg. which has eased up my heat flashes. I have been waking up pain free for at least two months. I will hurt at night when I am sleeping. I would wake up with sharp pain in the hips, knees and ankles. (I do not have arthritis) I feel so much better since I started the Effexor, I never knew how up tight I have been. The only drawback is weight gain. And accepting the fact that I will have to take this pill for the rest of my life (as long as it continues working). Or until something better is discovered for the pain.
