So sorry if I start ranting, but I am so frustrated right now!!
My husbands family is all over us about TTC, they are so negative and keep telling us not to try so hard, it will happen when it is supposed to, blah blah blah! The only thing I have brought up to them about all of it is potential baby names, and I have been buying stuff to decorate a nursery which they think is a bad idea.
Does anyone else have people that arent supportive like you want them to be while ttc? How do you deal with it? Im finding that it is just stressing me out more and my anxiety is worsening and it makes me think about ttc a million times more!
thanks ladies, sorry to complain!
btw im new here! Im kaycie ;)

Hey!
Welcome to the boards! GLad you are here..Hope your stay will be short and sweet ;)
I can relate. Except its not so much with the family, its more or less with my friends! They think I am crazy...and tell me I am always trying too hard. Easy for them to say... With my family, they don't discuss ttc with me. My mom doesn't really understand the whole ttc, she got pregnant just thinking about it!!!
Are you close enough with them to tell them politely that they are driving you insane!

hello and thanks!
yah it seems like everyone i know is able to get pregnant just by saying that they want to have a baby!! i think that all of us that are ttc though have the most wanted babies that are out there, thats for sure!!
i am at work right now, and my mil has called me 6 times in 4 hours!! she is getting so irritating and overbearing that its almost unbearable! i did tell her to leave me alone in a nice way, and that she was causing me to have anxiety attacks, but that only stopped her for an hour! ha!
anyways, thanks - good luck to you!
sending baby dust your way!!

kaycie,
I feel your frustration. Mine is also at my dh. We have only been ttc not even a full month yet. We were wrestling around in the living room and I made the comment about not being able to do this when I get pregnant and he had the nerve to say "Yeah if you ever get pregnant". UHM HELLO!?!? It hasn't even been a full month, and I am not the only contributing!!! Ladies, am I wrong to overreact to his comment?

No, I don't think you were overreacting I would have snapped back at Dh too-- because he is definitely a piece of the puzzle--without going into detail! :)

No you did not overreact....
My husband tells me to relax, when it happens it happens, we were not careful this month, waiting for AF.. 1 day late but all tests say BFN... if we are not preg. then we are going to start TTC after this AF....my husband does not realize the planning that you have to do and thinks it just happens...lol.. well maybe he is better off b/c then he will get out of the mood then probably, lol...all that talk he gets overwhelmed and doesn't want to know the dates, just have fun....ahhhh

We didn't tell anyone at first. We didn't think TTC would be hard. Both DH and i had grown up being taught that it was so easy to get pregnant. You only needed to have sex once and you would be pregnant. These teachings were backed up with his sis got pregnant. So when we started trying we were planning and expecting to have a baby by Christmas.
10 months later. Still no baby in sight. We had to start telling people because they were beginning to question what was going on once we had been married for a year.
At one point i found a list of good responses when people were asking you about TTC. I will see if i can find it for ya. It's a good laugh!

Hey guys i am completely in the same position. I have been TTC for six cycles. my sister has just found out she is pregnant with an oops baby (9weeks) and a few people new that i wanted to get PG.
Since this happened i have been getting the "you better hurry up and start making cousins for this one Lyn" from the ones who don't know we are TTC and from the ones who know we are i am getting the "don't worry your turn will come".
Honestly, i feel like crying just talking about it. It makes me so uncomfortable and i try to laugh it off. i mean she is 5 years older than me. i am only 22 and i am already getting the "don't worry" looks.
My sister has been really good cus she doesn't really know we are TTC, she knows we would be happy to fall pg but not really trying.
They got their 1st ultra sound and i thought i would be fine with it but it nearly broke my heart. it is on my mums fridge so every time i open it it reminds me that its not mine.
oh well it will happen. i am so excited for her and i am doing all the right sisterly things but when we go shopping for the baby i just try and think about something else so i don't cry.
