Ok.....I am completely confused.....

For the past couple of cycles, I have been watching CM as a detection of O. However, the lack of success has led me to start temping this month. I have been entering my temp on the online calculators, and today is CD11. The chart said that based on the temp spike, that I O'd 3 days ago on CD08. Funny thing is that my CM is just starting to change now to a more watery type - was not like that 3 days ago. I am wondering how accurate the temping really is, because at this point I am depressed that we missed our chance. Also, on a 28 day cycle, that would make my luteal phase 20 days - which does not seem right at all. Help!!!

hmmm...I just started temping this cycle and I am only on cd2..so I probably won't be too much help. See what your temp will be in the am tomorrow or next day and perhaps you can still keep bd'ing:D

Thanks Sophies.....this is my first month temping too.

This morning my temp dropped to 96.4, which is very low again, and the online chart said that the data entered is not consistent for an O date of 4 days ago. Phew!! I also read that stress or being sick can raise your BBT, and since Monday, I have been completely stressing over some issues at work which resolved yesterday, hence the high readings. Its amazing how your body reacts to things.

Ovulation can only be confirmed by 3 consecutive days of elevated temps. Remember that you can't really read your bbt on a day to day basis, you are looking more for an overall pattern. It will take you a few cycles to get the hang out of what you are looking at. If you have not done so already, you need to read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" You will learn so much about your body and about charting. Remember you must be consistent, taking your temps every day at the same time.

Just remember, don't give up! I contribute reading that book and charting to us only taking 3 months of official trying before we conceived.

Good luck!
Belle
