I know I have posted thread after thread about loosing weight. I want to know what I can do to start the process. I go to school all day so I have limited exercise time(very limited). I am about to start drinking lots of water because I feel tired and dried out, so maybe thats the reason for some of my weight problem. Also, what can I do as far as lunch because school food is not healthy at all and taking food to school is not an option ? I really want to loose about 50 pounds before this time next year. I need some words of motivation, I am s tired of people telling me how fat I have gotten.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner.

Even though you're in school during the day doesn't mean you have limited exercise time OR can't eat healthy. How come taking your lunch to school is not an option? Most schools these days follow strict dietary guidelines and although I'm not sure what your school is preparing, you could find something that is healthy! My old High School had a salad bar, chicken fingers & fries line, Subway, regular school food, and homemade pizza line. I'm sure there's some sort of variety at your school. If not, I highly recommend you taking your lunch to school so you know exactly what you're eating & what is in it, therefore you can monitor closely!

Also, say you get home from school and have homework. Do your homework first, then go on a walk/jog for about 30 minutes, ride a bicycle, do jumping jacks and/or push-ups/sit-ups, swimming, or something else that's active! Any activity that keeps your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes about 3-4 days per week will help with your weight loss; it could be anything you enjoy doing or the few I've named! But, in order to lose the weight, you have to be dedicated & not make excuses as to why you're not eating healthy or exercising :)

I also am not clear on the reason that you can't bring food to school - is it a storage or temperature issue or is it a policy? I think if you went to someone in the school and told them what you were trying to accomplish they would be willing to work with you.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of healthy foods and snacks that are "portable" and do not require refrigeration. I always carry food with me so I do not have to rely on what is available when I am out. I strictly control my calorie intake and my ingredients and only eat my OWN food wherever I am. Some foods suggestions include:

Amy's veggie burgers (I nuke them at home, wrap in foil, eat them at room temp. They wont go bad in a day. With it I eat a snack-cup of unsweetened applesauce)

Genisoy Soy Chips (I know this sounds like junk food but its not. This snack-tasting food is actually very balanced and contains a lot of protein and fiber. I eat the whole 3.5 oz bag as a meal replacement. It requires NO refridgeration)

Hardboiled Egg (Even on a warm day a hardboiled egg will hold up if wrapped in saranwrap and then foil. Add some celery sticks, carrots, and crackers)

Protein Bar (I don't mean granola breakfast bars!) A good protein bar that contains 20-25 grams of protein can be a great meal replacement and can be easily kept in a pocket or napsack.
