ANYONE??

The pediatric GI we saw yesterday said this is the most common reason for children my sons age (only 5 years old) to have rectal bleeding. Does this sound true?

I posted on the bowel disorder board to see if anyone there had any information or was familier with this and no has responded.

The doctor wants to do a colonoscopy on him because it's the ONLY WAY to know what is really going on in there...I am worried.

I'd really like to hear from someone that has had a child go through somthing like this... please, if you've experienced anything similar, respond. Thanks
