Well 6 weeks ago i ended up having severe burning i went to the doctors after 4 days of gaviscon and got prescribed 20mg of omeprazole... i have been on them since.. i was only meant to take them for 4 weeks but when i didnt for 2 days it came back worse.. so i got anoher script for them.. when i miss a day or take it after my breaky im suffering for 2 days.. its horrible my tummy feels like its on fire.. food seems to help then it comes back again..

the weird thing is it started when i started taking co codomol 8/500mg? (plse see my other thread)took 2 one day i was fine, took 2 few days later i was fine then one morning i took 2 and within 40 mins it felt like someone had kicked me full force.. i have taken the odd 1 with parcetomol insterad of 2 co codomols and i been ok.. unless its because im taking omeprazole or it isnt because of the co codomol?

is there anything else i can try? im desperate...

I've suffered from acid reflux for many years. I deceided to get off nexium. I use 4 oz of purified water, 1/4 tsp of baking soda and 2 tbsp of organic apple cider vineger with the mother. I have been off mexoi, for 3 weeks now and so far I'm not having any problems. Occasionally it comes back but not bad at all. I use this mix twice a day after eating for 5 days then 2 days off.
