Hi,

I went for a routine eye test today and when the optomerist looked at the back of my left eye she said could see a silver streak behind the retina in the choriod?? She didn't know what it was (or if she did,she didn't tell me) so she took a picture and was going to send it off to an eye doctor and for me to make an appt next week to see my GP.
For the past week and a bit I have been seeing a coloured slivery/blue blob out the corner of my left eye and slightly more floaters than normal but I didn't know that it was because I had noticed them and was looking for them or if there were actually more of them, my right eye was fine, nice and healthy.
I am a bit worried about what this line could be, my eyesight is ok (apart from being slightly more short sighted than I was a year ago).
Has anyone ever heard of or had anything like this before?
I did ask her if it could be something like a retinal detatchment and she said not to rule it out completely, I have been overdoing it lately so I did think it could be that.:rolleyes:
I assumed if she thought it was anything really nasty she would have got me checked out straight away??
Sorry for the rambling, I was just looking for a bit of reassurance and advice.
