I have been taking Lipitor for over six years now. I have never had elevated liver enzymes until now. First the alkaline phosphatase rose, then the ALT, now all three are steadily rising every time. Each number is double what it should be.
I am waiting on the doctor to call me back, but I can't help but wonder if the Lipitor is causing this. My doctor told me that usually happens during the first few months of taking Lipitor, and if it was the Lipitor, the numbers would be alot higher.
I don't drink and all my other blood work is fine. My cholesterol before the Lipitor was close to 300, so don't really want to stop Lipitor unless I have to.
Any suggestions?

It now been a month later, and I still have elevated enzymes, despite being off Lipitor for a couple of months. So there goes my theory.
