I have been seeing my Doc for 6 months now trying to figure out what is causung pain in the ball of my foot. He ordered an ultrasound. It show a small Neuroma. He was worried that I injured the Plantar Plate. The U/S only showed the Neuroma. SO I did cortizone and physical therpy. NO Real relief. LAst week he sends me in for an MRI. Well now the accorrding to the MRI, I have a ruptured platar plate and no signs of the neuroma. TO say the least the Doc is puzzled as why the rupture did not show on the Ultrasound. He is going to see the the ultrasound can be repeated, to confirm the rupture.
He brought up surgery, but i cant find much info on what it is really? any info would be great.
