Since Pepcid AC lowers the amount of stomach acid, could it cause me to feel full quickly and have loose stools? I feel like I've noticed this trend ever since I started taking it once a day-- about 40 to 45 days ago. My doc recommended it for the summer because I was having acid reflux due to switching from night shift to day shift and changing my eating habits so frequently. I've now been on a solid eating and sleeping schedule for about 2 weeks and I'm feeling like stopping the medication, especially if it could be causing these symptoms. Once in a while I have a solid stool but more often it's loose... not watery like diarrhea, but not held together, and a lot of times it seems as though it wasn't digested properly.

I believe you've very accurately described the common side effect of most acid lowering medications. Myself I would give it a go and try a couple days without the meds. Even if the medications help they do eventually cause a whole new set of problems. I would only use them if you can't find relief any other way.
