Sponsor sammi2 08-30-2007, 06:28 PM I have migraines with aura's. It starts with visual disturbance, sometimes flashing lights, sometimes partial loss of vision a few min b/4 the pain starts. The pain is usually on one side. I took Neurontin as a preventative for many years. roland92 08-30-2007, 07:31 PM Thanks for the post. I can't take certain meds for migraines because of problems with my irregular heartbeat. Does yours last about 20-25 min? Mine seem to come about the beginning, middle or end of my cycle. sammi2 08-31-2007, 07:24 PM The aura lasts about 20-25 min. I could never take the meds they gave me for migraines either. It would make my face numb & my heart race, urinary frequency. A dr finally put me on Neurontin as a preventative & that was the first time in 20 years I had relief from migraines. I still get them but they're not as bad & don't last as long. I can still function with the pain. When you get thru menopause your migraines will probably get less severe. Best wishes. |
