I was diagnosed with "Blepharitis", and whenever I get it, I get "stuff" coming out of my eyes, my eyelashes fall out, etc..
But, it seems I only get it when I go around my German Shepherd. We have 9 pets. 3 Dogs, 3 Cats, and 3 Rabbits. It doesn't happen when I go around the two family dogs, or the cats, or my rabbit-just my Shepherd. I'll get a "Stye", too. How can I be allergic to ONE animal/dog, and not the others??

wow... that really is bad! I love my animals too and it would be horrible if I had an allergic reaction to them! When my husband and I met four years ago we fell head over heals in love but then I realized he was allergic to my cat who I had for 10 years! That was a horrible delimma ... he went to the dr and tried all kinds of shots and pills, purifiers and different forms of natural therapy and nothing worked ... I was just about to give my cat to my mother when a friend told me about a product that she believed would help -- I of course was very skeptical and did not believe anything would work, other than removing my cat from our home but she told me it certainly wouldn't hurt to try it! We put it in our home and after 24 hours my husband said he started feeling a little better -- 48 hours later he wasn't having hardly any symptoms! We were totally amazed but still didn't believe it was the product she brought to us -- she told us to turn the machine off for a day and see if the symptoms stay away -- they did not!!! We turned it back on real quick and wrote her a check! It was amazing that after a whole year of trying different things this new technology worked!!
Sorry this was so long winded but as you can probably tell I am very excited that a year later my husband no longer has any type of symptoms and my husband and cat are friends now!!! So -- I guess you can say, I have my cake and I'm eatting it too!!!

If you have your german shepard bathed and groomed and keep him inside does this still happen? I find it unusual that only one dog would cause it when you have others that do not. I would suspect he is rolling somewhere in something you are more sensitive to.. I have a big border collie (BC) that rolls in anything guaranteed to make him stink (dead things are a big turn on.. ick!).
Are you being sure to keep your hands washed and not rub your eyes with them unwashed while dealing with the dogs. I had horrible allergies about my parents indoor outdoor pets. But once I went to the all indoor and all outdoor bimonthly/monthly baths and baths as need for the BC. things improved dramatically. I am not allergic to any furry critters, just what they roll about in. So keeping them in an isolated area and clean, and cleaning myself thoroughly (even having to take a shower sometimes) after dealing with the ones outside has helped my allergies tremendously.
Sincerely,
MG
