Other things can cause Sclerosis to show on an MRI... I'm no medical expert so I won't go into that, but I'm not sure what eye problem you are experiencing, I have a had optic nueritis a few times which is the most common problem associated with MS, but I've also had another eye problem... I can't remember what they called it, but my right eye just wandered around in my head independant of where I was looking... it was horrible, and that was also caused by the MS, so I don't know what to tell you but it could be related to MS. I guess my biggest question are 1. are you seeing and Opthamologist (an optometrist is not trained enough... ) 2. are you seeing a neurologist? If either answer is no... you need to make yourself appointments.

I too have the strabimus, in my left eye. It wanders so far afield from my right eye's focus, that during those times that it is acting up, which is more often than not, it is quite impossible for me to do much more than sit in my chair and watch TV, or listen to music, with the screen saver on beautiful scenery from webshots on my PC which is connected to my 40" LCD.
The worsening of my strabismus usually is followed by extreme episodes of my nerve maladies. Spasms throughout my body, facial, and eye pain (left side), neck, shoulder, arm, leg, foot, toe pain. This is the most compelling reason I suspect MS, in spite of the lack of visible plaque in my 2 MRI/MRA's.
I have been to 3 Ophthalmologists (The last one a Pediatric/Opthalmologist since this is usually a childhood malady, was specialized in Ambliopia or Strabismus) and they each defer to my Neuro for the dx, but they rule out the possibility of surgery to correct, due to the variable extremity of my wandering eye. I also have great sensitivity to light in my left eye (Ocular Photo-phobia, I believe they call it). The Ophthalmologists also have tried lenses with prisms to counteract, not correct this, and these measures too, are useless due to the variable nature of my malady.
Even with one eye closed, I have blurred and double vision, so it's not just double from the wandering eye. Because of specialty practice, it's rare that one Doctor will discuss outside his specialty, or god-forbid , consult another specialist.:jester: I am like most here, looking for the Marcus Welby of Nerve disorders.

Didn't even know what Pars Planitis was until I looked it up. What I saw said it CAN be associated with Sarcoidosis, Crohn's Disease or Multiple Sclerosis although it's often just a condition unto itself. As far as "sclerosis" on your spine, is it possible that your doctor said "stenosis"? Are you having an MRI because they suspect MS? As Iluv said, the word "sclerosis" by itself does not necessarily mean MS.

WOW! This is so cool to have other people to talk to about this, it is all so scary. So yes i am seeing an opth. and he is the one who suspects ms so i am waiting for my mri appt. He says pars planitis is very common with ms, I have other systems to numbness, hip pain and my left ear feels clogged all the time and very tired aii the time. Thank you for responding.
