I think I have a mental disorder. I find myself not being able to relax and do small tasks in an enjoyable fashion. For instance I put up my Christmas tree way ahead of time. Sometimes I have the tree up before Thanksgiving. And then I take the tree down on Christmas afternoon. Another example is I clean off the dinner table before my family has had a chance to finish eating their meal. I throw away useful things because I can't stand any clutter. Is this normal behavior, or is there something wrong with me?

Hi:
It just sound like personality quirks to me. The only disorder I can think of is OCD or obsession compulsion disorder and that is probaly a stretch but if you are concerned look it up and see if it fits
take care

Hi Mikey, this alone would cause distress IMO. Do you think that you are anxious?

I like the definition that if it causes distress, it is not just a personality quirk but could be called a disorder.
Of course it is a question of definition. But not being able to relax - does sound distressing by itself, as sannah said.
A question to ask yourself is, do you ALWAYS feel like that?
