With the release of this new medication, I was wondering if anyone's child had been prescribed Vyvanse and if so how were they doing with it and if there were any significant side effects?

My child hasn't been prescribed but I have. I've been taking it for about a month and a half now and it seems to be working. It's the first medicine I've taken for ADD (Just diagnosed), so I don't have anything else to compare it to. So far so good though. I didn't notice any side effects at all, especially not compared to some of the other medications I take (for Bipolar, OCD, and Anxiety). Good luck and I hope it works for your child! :)

My child has been on this med for 10 days and we have been very pleased. His teacher has seen drastic improvements in his attention and fine motor skills. Impulsivity is still an issue and no med will probably help that!!

How does this drug differ from other stimulant drugs? I just want to know what's out there. I went to the website, but it looks like concerta under a different name.
