My mother has had severe problems w/ Glaucoma she also has corneal problems. Without going into too much detail with what happened with her latest opthalmologist (aside from the fact that he was unprofessional), I will continue by stating that my mother now has a new opthalmologist who seems professional and very nice. She for one thinks my mother needs to stop taking the pilopine gel. She said its very harmful to the cornea (my mother now has problems with her cornea). My mother is now off the pilopine per her new opthalmologist.

I was wondering if anybody has had any adverse experience by taking the pilopine gel. Did it result in any long term corneal damage? How long did you use it for? My mother has been using pilopine gel for about 11 years.
