hi everyone! i posted a week or so ago about the sublingual B-12 issue. I went to a different doctor last week, for another health issue. His nurse called me back today after getting my medical records from the dr that originally had the B-12 results. The nurse said they want to take another B-12 test, and some other blood tests including blood sugar.

My question is....does one blood test show low B-12 along with iron deficiency and blood count, etc.?? i'm just wondering if the first one didn't have a ferretin level or whatever and they want to do another for that or the iron reason??

any ideas?? thanks a bunch!

A CBC is a complete blood count, a standard hematology profile per say. You have to get each test in addition for Ferritin Serum, Vit B-12, Folate and Iron package= (Serium iron, UIBC,TIBC,% Saturation). These are the normal tests that are used for anemias. Then there are other things in addition to vitamin and mineral tests. Good luck! FLFLOWERGIRL:)

Good luck with your next doctor visit and the works is always best. Be sure to get copies of your labs as well. FLFLOWERGIRL:)
