I just found this board today and glad I did, I have lots of questions and hoping some of you can answer them before I get to the Dr. which is many miles away for me to travel being that we live far from town.
I have had problems with this off and on for years and every time I get it or it acts up my throat really burns. It isn't hard to swallow or even painful when I swallow-just this burning feeling and I have been taking Prilosec otc for a few days now and it seems like the feeling is getting worse. Does this happen for anyone else with GERD? Do you notice a burning in your throat with it? When I was a kid I had problems with that little sphincter muscle thing that is connected to your esophagus and with having this for so many years now off and on I am very worried that it could be something worse like cancer of the esophagus. I am going to see my Dr. next week but it is just a sense of peace if I can atleast talk to someone here with the same symptoms or know something more about this.
