I require your help. I am a 26 years old Albino and have albinoism in both my eyes. I have white skin and white hair. I have made a small reasearch on the vision improvement for Albinos. I have a visual capacity of 6/24 in both eyes. Presently, i have Right ( +0.75Ds/+2.25 Dcyl*80 degrees ) and Left (+3Ds/+1.5Dcyl*90 degrees) visions and also there is a two and fro movement in my eyes. I am using glasses while studying and working on PC, but the vision is not corrected completely. Please suggest any way out where in I can get rid of glasses. Can I wear contact lenses and Is there any surgory available to improve focusing and vision? Is there any research going on for this genetic disorder? Is it possible to replace the albino gene with the normal gene in an albino in order to allow body to produce black pigment? Please suggest the possible way out. Your inputs will show me the right way and will help me out to shape my life in a new direction.
