From what I have read I have many of the same symptoms as some of you. The only problem is that I am only 21.
My main concern is that I feel like I haven't slept in days all the time, even after sleeping a long time.
There is always something wrong with me, a soreness here, a shooting pain there.
I get shooting pains in my wrists and hands when doing things like putting away dishes.
I have been diagnosed with IBS...Im cold all the time.
The list goes on and on. I have never been a "healthy" person. Had CAT scans on my head for headaches when I was a kid even....

But the docs dont have any idea what is wrong with me and make me feel like I am a hypochondriac or something everytime I complain......

Any suggestions? I have no idea what is going on.

Babies can have FMS to. We would see a board certified specialist in FMS. That is what we did. If you haven't read New to board..... and ......IN A NUT SHELL please do. There are links that can help you. My mother noticed it when I was a young girl and the doc said growing pains, so my mom said to deal with the pain it is normal. Ya, I went through 10 years of Gallbladder attacts thinking this horrid pain was just part of it.

It took years and years to find the right doc and to start to deal with it and the trial and error of many meds to treat it and all combos of meds. Moderate stretching can help and walking. Our 18 year old was just Dxed and has a heart regergitation in his heart. The cardiologist said it was due to a muscle problem and that it could be the FMS. He told me last year that my palipatations were due to the FMS.

We have seen so many kinds of doctors in the past couple years that state it is the FMS. I saw 5 different ones that said FMS.

For years we couldn't find out what it was and now all these docs that believe. It was like a miracle to us.

We also have CFS.

We found our doc on the link to co-cure. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/t_up.gif http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif

We have two daughters that are diagnosed as having FMS. They have the smyptoms you listed and more. The daughters are 18 and 23 years of age. They have had the symptoms for over 10 years. They have been to different types of doctors and went through different treatments. Different types of doctors will label the symptoms differently (e.g. Irritable Bowel, Environmental Allergies) but they are still the same symptoms. FMS is diagnosed by a Rhuematologist. The medical research seems to be the hope for us (Their rhuematologist is currently participating in 3 studies). So far our daughters have gotten little relief from their symptoms. There are still many things out there in the world for them to try. If you have read many of the postings, you will notice what helps one may help some but not all.
What has helped our younger daughter escape from her fibro-fog is an old medication, chlorpromazine. It has enabled her to think much more clearly for longer periods of time. It has not, however, helped with the overwhelming fatigue. It is a case of some progress being better than none, any little victory being a reason for rejoicing.
