10 years ago I was dx'ed with FM. Recently I realized that my FM may actually be due to the fact I'm hypercalcemic.
My PTH level is 18 (below 28 is considered non-parathyroid hypercalcemia when calcium is high, and my serum calcium is 9.8. My calcium tested 10.4 upon treadmill exercise.)

I suspect my hypercalcemia has been progressive since childhood (as has my jaundice been progressive).

I'm curious as to what percentage of fibromyalgics have actually been tested for hypercalcemia?

I'm not sure in my case that I can answer your question. But I had some positive experience with calcium pills. Maybe that information can help you some.

Years before I linked a host of fibromyalgia symptoms to my mercury-silver dental amalgams, I experimented with calcium pills (later with pills that included magnesium too). It helped my chest pains and my muscle/joint pain. Since I wanted to avoid taking pills all the time, I switched my diet to a healthy one (this was about 18 years ago). Slowly I made some limited improvement.

To this day, I have no idea why the pills helped me. It was just one of my experiments to try to find a cure of this horrible condition.

Eventually, after the replacement of the dental amalgams with white non-toxic fillings about 8 years ago, and improved diet, I'm now cured (or nearly cured) of this affliction. It's a story that spans decades.

Also, I wanted to mention to the readers out there, please be careful with calcium pills. I read that they can, for some individuals, lead to the formation of kidney stones if taken in excess.
