I have posted several times with suggestions on treatments for FM including the "New Help for Fibro Sufferers" board post that has helped my wife tremendously. One additional thing that totally slipped my mind that has helped my wife get a better nights rest is the type of bed we now use. She used to wake up often because of pressure point pain and we tried different kinds of pads, etc. with little help. We then began researching air beds and finally tried one and it really helped her. It also helped me as I no longer wake up with a stiff back like I did from time-to-time. You don't have to spend a thousand plus dollars on one like the fancy ones you see in Sleep Stores in malls. We found ours at a bed store for $500 in a king size. It has a remote control for adjusting both sides of the bed separately for differing firmnesses and can be placed on a regular king size box spring, on the floor, or we bought some inexpensive underdresser bases for set ours on for additional storage space. The mattresses fit into a rigid foam frame and is covered by a pillow top mattress cover that zips in place and it then looks like a regular mattress from the outside. I would recommend mattresses made of rubberized canvas material instead of vinyl for more durability. Most decent beds have 15-20 year guarantees and can be found on the internet if necessary under "air bed" searches. We both highly recommend one for both spouses separate comfort and the king size gives us plenty of room to move during the night without even knowing the other person is there.
