I wake up with really bad leg pain. It feels like the muscles hurt all the way to the bone. The pain is in my whole leg and often wakes me up. The pain usually subsides after I get up. Does anyone else get these? If so, does anything work to stop them? Waking up in agonizing pain is not the most pleasant way to start the day!

Gary wakes like that and it incompasses most of his body. I get it but not all the time.
Did you say the bones hurt? You should let your doctor know just to make sure it's not something else.

I've had "fibromyalgia" & constipation since I was very young, & I have hypercalcemia.
I.E. my calcium level is close to 10 while my parathyroid level is quite less than 28 (18) - which means I have hypercalcemia.
So what I REALLY have is fibromyalgia
(meaning muscle pain, constipation, fatigue, laryngitis, cold extremities and more)
CAUSED BY hypercalcemia.
IT'S REALLY HYPERCALCEMIA, RATHER THAN FIBROMYALGIA. FIBROMYALGIA IS JUST MY GENERAL DIAGNOSIS, BUT NOT REALLY MY ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS.
Maybe if you'd have your Calcium & PTH levels checked out by an endocrinologist - you might discover the same thing I did.
I read on the www that eating lots of fresh black (Bing) cherries helps to dissolve calcium spurs.
Interestingly, I've found that when eating lots of Bing cherries, that helps control my heavy bleeding. It's also been found in a study by Michigan State University to dissolve uric acid crystals of gout.

aryahl, your symptoms are mine exactly, except that I also have a lot of trouble getting to sleep. Also, in the beginning, before the morning leg pains started, I was having chest pains all night. I initially had complete success getting rid of the pains with Relaxin/Magnesium Malate supplementation. (See my post on the "One year on Guai: Yes!!!" thread, and on an old thread that you can do a search for "Miracle Cure"). Unfortunately, after running a marathon, my symptoms returned, and upping the dosages didn't do a thing. I'm now on guaifenesin. My sleep has improved tremendously, and I'm hopeful that I'm on the road to the recovery that Dr. St. Amand talks about in his book "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia."
I have not found anything that really stops the pain except getting out of bed. Ibuprofin doesn't work, and until recently I was reluctant to try anything stronger. Recently my doctor gave me some Ultracet (an Ultram/Tylenol combination), and I have had some limited relief with it).
