Im 16 and im really worried that i might have started my menopause! i was look on a website earlier today and i seem to relate to all the symptoms of ?primenopause? I was due on my period a week ago and there shoudlnt be any reason why i ahould be pregnant as i am sexually active with my boyfriend but we ALWAYS use protection! The only other resort would be menopause, because im never usually late on my periods! Am i jus over reacting or could i be right? HELP ME!!

Hello Aims90, The best person for you to discuss this with is your Doctor. There could be lots of reasons why your periods are late, apart from the obvious which you say you are using protection, remember though, no protection is 100% safe!! Having said that, are you perhaps on a diet, if you are on a strict diet that can oftenstop periods. I would strongly suggest you see your doctor.

At 16, your periods have not regulated yet. They will be irregular for some time more. However, since you are sexually active, take a home pregnancy test just to make sure you aren't pregnant.
