My oral surgeon told me that after 24 hours either the clot is going to be there or it is not. In other words, a dry socket usually occurs within the first 24 hours and is rare past day three. I would think after two weeks that you are safe. I thought you were going to ask your dentist when you went back. Did you not ask? You could also call the office and then can tell you, but I would think that it is OK now.

I did ask the dentist on my visit last week. She said she not going to tell her patients its ok to go ahead and smoke. She didn't really answer my question. I would think that I am safe too but still scared.

Of course she isn't....smoking is bad for your health so she would never say "It's OK to smoke after...." It's NEVER safe to smoke!
Since it's been almost 2 weeks...why don't you just quit?
