View Full Version : Lump at the back of my jaw

Last night I discovered a hard, painless lump last night - It feels about half of the size of a grape. I'm not quite sure how to explain where it is, it's not directly on my gum, it feels more like on my right parotid gland area;

If you open your mouth and feel at the very top corner of your jaw, that's where it is. I don't know if it's growing or not because I didn't know it was there until last night - can anyone give me any insight as to what this could be? Last night I also had very feverish symptoms, but they seem to have cleared up since then so I doubt it's mumps. Should I visit my doctor or dentist about this?
