I had my wisdom teeth removed friday. They had to go fetch the things down in my gums, they were not out at all... A few of the stitches fell since and now I am noticing on one side a gaping hole... It's really... I think I see something dark down there, but I'm not sure how far away it is. It seems to be on the side, not directly behind my molar.

Is this normal or is it dry socket?

If it is a dry socket you would know,you would be having alot of pain. The "dark" you are seeing is most likely the clot. This is good. Just rinse gently with warm water and salt.
