Hi peeps.
I am a 19 year old guy from Glasgow, Scotland who has just made the biggest mistake of his life.
I attend university and "might" be getting my degree this year. (I sat my last exam worrying about STD'd throughout it, I passed everything else(virgin at time), tho I'm sure iv failed my last module because i couldnt stop thinking about STD's).
Anyway. On the 28th June 2007 I had unprotected sex with a girl I know (lose virginity). She stays virtually round the corner from me.
It didn't last that long, but, embaressing about 5 - 8 minutes.
I have found out she has pre-cancer in her womb which means she probably has HPV, I probably have that now. (scares me to death).
In my opinion she has had a dodgy/risky past.
The next morning I noticed a SMALL spot of blood stained on my boxers (like a small circle from my penis).
I'm not sure if it was my blood or hers, I'd also like to note I think my penis wasn't normal at the time, I had a hard time retracting the foreskin and I think the penis was all inflamed so the sex was actually pretty sore. But the likelyhood is the blood was from her? If it is I think I'm just about to commit suicide! OH MY GOD sad sad
Ever since that night I have not felt my normal self. My genitals feel uncformotable, I'm sure I had a discharge as I stained my boxer shorts with a green/yellow stain. Sitting here at about 2 months later I have tender groin/joints, feeling nauserish, headache and have swollen lymph nodes.
about a month after, maybe 5 weeks or 5 and a half weeks later I got tested for STD's. Tested for chlamydia twice, one at the doctors and one at the GUM clinic. Tested for gonnorhea by a swab at the GUM clinic where nothing was found and also done a urine test for gonnorhea which was also negative.
I also had a blood test taken for Syphillis and HIV at the same time (5 weeks) which both came back negative.
So at this very moment I have been informed I have no STD, however I know it can take up to 3 months to be sure you don't have HIV. So yeh I am EXTREMELY worried about HIV.
A few questions I have...
Why did I have a discharge if I have no bacterial STD such as chlamydia or gonnorhea? (tested twice).
What is the likelyhood of an HIV test at say 4 - 5 weeks, is it unreliable?
I will be going back to get re-tested for HIV on 28th September - 2nd October.
So yeh I have a long enough agnosing and terrible wait to get re-tested for HIV. Then I need to wait about 2 weeks for my result :(
