View Full Version : What are these "bumps" on my eyeballs?

On both of my eyeballs I have a small white (seems raised) "bump" that just touches the inside part of both of my iris's. They do not move around.

I was hoping someone could help me diagnose this... These "bumps" on my eyeballs showed up about a year ago and seem to be getting bigger as the months go by.

My symptoms include:

- constant red eyes
- occasional teary eyes
- blurred vision (my vision is much worse now)
- when I get tired and my eyes become lazy, I notice a strange black spot with long "hairy arms" in my field of vision on my right eye.

Any ideas?

One eye doctor said it could be from sun exposure, but my hunch is that it has something to do with long hours in front of the computer/television.

Your bumps are probably pingueculae. See if you can find a picture online somewhere to see what you think.
