Im not new to birthcontrol but I am new to the birthcontrol that stops periods. I have been switched maybe about 3 times and the last time my doctor gave me 3 months of the brand new Loestrin 24FE and I didn't have a period those three months. Well since I don't have the money to keep purchasing Loestrin and they did not have the generic for that particular Loestrin at the Time, My perscription continued as Microgestin 1-20 with three weeks of white pills and no pills at all the fourth week. It is just a pack of pills for 3 weeks. well like the first month I have full blown period and since then it has just been Spotting.I dont skip the fourth week and go right in to another pack I just don't take anything that week. Is that okay am I still protected? We usually use extra protection that week becasue I get paranoid. Im worried sometimes, but tten on the other hand I'm not. Some people say that Microgestin does that to some women. Please if anyone has any Info please Help! THANKS

Yes, that is fine. You are still protected and you are taking the pills correctly.
In some people , the lining of the womb gets so thin, with the pill hormones that there is little or nothing to shed. Hence the spotting or lack of periods.
