I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. I am treating 3 toes on my left foot for fungus. They are looking pretty good I guess as in some clear new growth all be it very little as in 1/4 inch or less on big toe and just an itty bit pink showing on little toes. Been at this for about 4 months almost. Now on my other foot big toe there is in both corners a whitish discoloration but only in corners near the top. It does look slightly yellowy in the corners but not completely alot of white. The rest of the nail looks pink and normal. This has been this way the entire 4 months I have been treating the other nails so I have been treating this nail just in case. The thing is I thought this would have grown off by now but it is still there. I mean I may have cut a little of it off but not much. I t is not lifted away from the nailbed I guess because I can't lift it up or get under it like on my other big toe. I don't think there is any debris besides the normal that I can tell. I did used to clean down too far under my nails as in digging but I stopped. Could that have caused this? I also when I first seen this 4 months ago I tried to cut this part out of the corners. I'm sure that was a bad idea. Is this fungus also or did I just damage my nail. What should I do? Do you think this will grow out as I am already treating for fungus?

Like I've told you before, 4 monthsof treatments won't really have much effect. You need to be diligent in the application of your chosen treatment for a full YEAR of more. Fungus under the nails is just about the hardest disorder to treat. You have all the information, you just need to stop panicking over this. Did you know that almost 90% of the population have some sort of nail fungus? It's just about more common than the common cold.
