Hi,
I am more confused than ever now just received an addendum to ultrasound that says "fatty infiltration and MRI characteristics of the abnormality seen on US suggests fatty sparing". of course they spelling it spurring and it was faxed to wrong drs office not my internists. Does anyone know what this means?? I am trying to look it up but it is confusing, sounds like at least it isn't a tumor?? so guess it is good. thanks for any input. posted on new thread so it would be easier to see.

"Fatty infiltration" or fatty liver is a fairly common diagnosis now with obesity rates increasing. Here's how my doctor explained it to me and he simply said..."you know foie gras? well, you have the human version of it." Basically, it means that your liver is now a fat storage organ rather than passing and filtering it out of your body.

Are you and active person? To "fix" fatty liver, you have to fix the cause which is being more active, lowering your cholestoral levels (especially triglycerides)...etc.

Hi,
Appreciate your reply, my last cholesterols were normal with the help of Crestor and I actually had all these tests originally because of weight loss and nausea, I am just getting back to eating right. When the dr read the ultrasound he said there was not fatty liver now he changed it. that is why I am confused but I appreciate your answer.
