Hi all...Been type 2 for 3 1/2 years. Still diet controlled. Injured at work 16 months ago and really having a hard time. The stress and pain have been horrible and never ending. Had shoulder surgery and cataract surgery on both eyes in the past 4 months. Cataracts were brought on quickly by steroids raising my glucose to about 300 for 48-72 each time. Hve had ten injections in a year. Have done the best I could to keep all under control inspite of all the surgeries, pain and stress. Well now I'm done with surgery, doing PT on shoulder and then will start on the other injured body parts when this heals. So with the eyes done I fele i am on the mend finally. Will take proably another year or so to be as good as I will get. Here's my dilemns. I have had someone else caring for me for months now. I am not eating right and can't seem to get back on track. I gained a whopping 30-40 pounds since the injuries. Can't work out yet, but feel I could start losing IF I could just get back on track eating. Can't seem to put meals together and am eating idly out of boredom. Quit smoking which is a good thing and fell maybe I gained about 7 pounds from that so really at this point would like to lose 40 pounds for my health and comfort. Can someone help me get back on track? I know I am eating too many carbs but can't seem to find the right protein to add in. I don't eat alot at each sitting but have bee eating too much throught the entire day and the wrong foods. Alot of picking going on here. Any advise and support will be appreciated.
