View Full Version : wisdom teeth removed a week ago

I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed a week ago. They were about 75% of the way in, but partially covered by my gums. They did not do stitches afterward and I was told I didn't need to come back to the oral surgeon.

I don't have much pain now (just a dull ache every five or six hours which will go away with 600mg of Advil). But when I look at the sockets, it appears that the holes are rather large and you can see into them. It looks white - could that be the bone? It doesn't hurt, so I can't imagine it's a dry socket, but I feel like it's weird that I can see into the hole. Also, how long should I expect the minimal amount of pain to continue?

Thanks!
