I'm 19 yrs. old and I'm a sophomore in college. I really wanna quit bad. I've only smoked for 5/6 months but I'm addicted. I tried and I quit for about 5 days. During these days, I gained weight (a lot), got stretch marks from it (again!) and I got bad grades and couldn't concentrate in class. I smoked 2 cigs yesterday, and I blew through my homework like it was nothing. It was so easy for me with nicotine in my system. So the ? is can I quit during college w/o getting bad grades. BTW - It's also essential I get excellent grades this semester, as I'll be transferring into a prestigous college nxt yr and I need the good grades to get in. Help!

Sure it's possible, and it's best to quit when you are young and don't have a 30 year habit to break. Why don't you try the patch? They will gradually help you get the nicotine out of your system. THe patch helped me quit 1.5 years ago after smoking for almost 30 years.... 2 packs a day. They were a lifesaver for me!

Good luck!
