Is there a thread for the 'I'm scared to death of my chest x-ray results?"

I had a chest x-ray and a follow up chest x-ray and they told me they saw a shadow so the dr. ordered a ct scan for me which I haven't gone for yet because the mammo I had found a lump on my breast and they want to remove that.
It's been like a double whammy for me.

My referral for my CT scan reads ' right hilar mass vs hilar lymphadenopthy'.

Is there any chance that this could be a pneumonia scar that they mentioned on my chest x-ray 4 years ago? I asked the dr that question but she just totally ignored it and I was afraid to persue it.
I'm almost afraid to type this but does it sound like they're saying cancer?

I'm scared, weepy, and pray a lot.

any answers will be appreciated. thanks

Well, I dont have an answer for you, but I just wanted to wish you well on both your test and on your breast biopsy. I have had both and thank goodness, so far, there has been no cancer. I remember how I felt when they told me I had lung nodules and I had to wait for the CT scan and PET scan. I had just lost both parents to lung cancer and I, too, was really scared. I hope that you can get some resolution soon as the waiting is really hard to take. Please keep us up to date and know Im thinking about you.

Becky, thank you so much for answering me. You have no idea how much it meant to me. I"ve been feeling so alone lately.. even though I'm surrounded by family most of the time.
I'm so glad to hear that you had a positive outcome from your tests.
