The first time I experienced anxiety resulted in me being hospitalised. I was 28and had two young children. I still do not know what brought this attack on, but it left me paralysed, unable to eat or drink. The doctors didn't give me any help, they were not familiar with this condition. I eventually got help without medication through a stress clinic. It took me two years to fully recover. Since that time I have been prone to anxiety attacks although not as severe.
I am now experiencing a recurrence of anxiety due to my life situation. The physical symptoms of my anxiety are exacerbating my anxiety. I get palpitations which I control with beta blockers. I get breathing difficulties and pain across my chest. I yawn constantly and need to take deep breaths. I am tired and have lost interest in many of the things that I used to enjoy. I have tried antidepressents, none of which agree with me. I am on HRT. I dont know where to go from here.
