Hello there: Just had a question for someone. I have been diagnosed with Thoracic outlet syndrome. I have had this pain for about six months now but last night something different happened. I was laying down and when I sat up to turn around to look at my daughter my shoulder was pushed forward, I got the most excrutiatin pain in my shoulder and all the way down my arm into my hand and it also felt like the arm was paralysed. I have not had this happen before and here is the question does this mean that the nerve is compressed more or what? Should I just let this go until the Vascular surgeon phones with an appt for me or should I do some else??
I am on Gabapentin for DDD and they increased my dose to highest one that is safe. They did this Friday so I am hoping that in the next day or two it will make a difference.
Anyways any advise or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
Take care
Janice
